I’m Ranjit Balmuchu—a designer, illustrator, comic artist, and animator with over 18 years of experience transforming ideas into compelling visuals. My work bridges storytelling and design, fusing creativity with clarity across digital, print, and motion formats.
Trained as an architect at CEPT, Ahmedabad, I bring a strong foundation in structure, narrative, and visual balance to everything I create—from info-graphics and comic strips to brand identities and e-learning modules. Over the years, I’ve led creative teams, collaborated with global clients, and independently run The Lamb Studios, my creative practice where ideas find their voice in style and substance.
Whether it’s designing intuitive web interfaces, crafting animated explainers, or illustrating books and campaigns, I aim to communicate complex messages with simplicity, beauty, and purpose. My work has been recognized internationally, including a third prize at the Chelsea International Fine Art Competition, New York, and features in Channel V, Indian Express, Penguin Books, and NFT platforms.
My paintings explores the dynamic interplay of spatiality and form, blending structure with fluidity to evoke emotion and curiosity. As an artist, I am passionate about landscape as an abstract representation. I try to explore landscape as folds of paper floating in space, trying to push the boundaries of visual storytelling.
I thrive on experimenting with composition and perspectives, creating form and space to constantly push the boundaries of visual storytelling.
